I decided to play with a free program call digiCamControl today. It allows you to control your camera with your computer. This is especially helpful when you are trying to stack images as it automatically controls the focus. While this is really cool and allows you to take some cool images without expensive equipment it also requires a computer (which is expensive and heavy). Maybe this program will work on a Surface tablet. If so I would definitely use it more often.


I used about 20 images in between the to focal points in the above images to create the stacked image below.

I moved something to shade the flower in the next set. Used the same steps except I added a little fill light to the final image.
